Undoing Atlas: Beyond a Legacy of Burden by Bella Szyszkowska and Rosanna McLaughlin

Interpreting the myth of Atlas as a mantra for the obligations of the individual, ‘Know your duty and perform to the best of your ability’, the show investigates how this corresponds to the notion of collaborative effort.
Approaching the show as an adaptation of this classic the works utilise the modes of book titles and cover design, as well as borrowing from propaganda and film posters, to reframe the previously singular Atlas as the site of converging identities..
